Wedding jewelry
Q.I'm thinking of giving (as bridesmaid's gifts), matching earrings and necklaces for them to wear at the wedding. However, I don't want to come off as a Bridezilla, ordering them to MATCH!!! or else! I really don't care what they wear as jewelry, I just thought this was a pretty good gift idea. They'd be simple, and probably in topaz or something, orangey, whatever. Their dresses are "bone", kind of an off-off-beige, so I could go with practically any color. I've been playing with flower sites on the web, and orange-peach lilies go wonderfully with the color (I have a pair of the shoes here, I have the feeling a shoe will accompany me on many of my shopping expeditions for flowers, etc.....) Anyway, what's your opinion? Would giving them matching jewelry be going to far on the matching thing???
A.I've bought faux pearl necklaces for my attendants. My maid and matron of honour will get "natural" cream, coffee and grey pearl necklaces on a floating chain. My bridesmaid will get a pale pink "natural" pearl necklace on a floating chain with matching earrings (hypo-allergenic posts). The MatronOH will get a massage certificate, good for a one hour massage, the bridesmaid will get a jewellery box with an insert I can put her stitched monogram in, and I don't know what else to get for the MaidOH. While I am giving them necklaces, I am not expecting them to wear them for the wedding. I just think it suits their taste and colouring.
