May Meeting of the Bead Society of New Jersey (include jewelry)
Q.At the May 20, 1999 meeting the presenter will be Neelah Rena, owner of Global Business Plus. For the past two years, Neelah has repeatedly traveled to India to locate the sources of all kinds of cottage crafts. These items, typically made by women in their homes, are made from basic materials such as copper, paper, and cloth, and include jewelry, clothing and decorative items. Neelah's business also imports gemstone beads and gemstone bead jewelry. She retails all of these items from her shop in Cranbury, New Jersey. Neelah will speak about her work with the women of India and her experiences in locating craft items for import to the United States. In particular she will discuss her gemstone beads and gemstone jewelry and, of course, she will be happy to answer our questions. Neelah hopes to bring with her a representative assortment of items to illustrate her discussion and some items will also be available for sale. The meeting will be held at 7:30 pm at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Route 537, Colts Neck.
