Q.And steel rings sound great -- how the heck can steel rings = man? Does that mean if a guy wears gold or silver rings he's a woman?

A.My jeweller friend designed the most gorgeous set of wedding rings I've ever seen-- massive iron and gold bands. They looked like something dug up from an ancient warlord's burial site and were totally TDF. More iron lore: in astrology iron is associated with the planet Mars and the sign of Scorpio, which is my ascendant. According to Celtic folklore, wearing iron on your person protects you from fairies and other malign spirits. I'm not sure if iron protects against trolls. ;-) And this is a great example of why it's so nice to see Fruitbat again. Please tell the uninitiated- where does one find a titanium artist? so true, D.., and besides, I have spoken with Fruitbat on the phone, and one of my very good friends has met HER in person...she is indeed a woman. even if she DOES wear an iron ring.
