Jewelry Making Dvd
Q.My wife makes jewelry for herself, family and friends. I am with when we hit all the bead supply stores to pick up the supplies she needs. I seen a kit that was sold at the Hobby Lobby for glass bead making. I thought it would be fun to make my own beads for her. So I recieved this kit as a Christmas gift from my wife. I don't have any other tools or items to make the beads with except for what came in the starter kit. I did get some extra Glass rods however, and I picked up some DVD's on Glass Bead making to learn a little before jumping into it. Yesterday I went down to my studio. (I airbrush and have room to set it up in my airbrush studio - Also has great ventalation to the outside in there). I tried to make some beads... It actually worked. I made some beads. A little lopsided at first, but I think I'll get better as time goes on. I even pulled my own stringers. With all that said. (long winded I know). I would like to make some beads with Millefiori Glass melted into them. (I seen it on one of the DVD's) It has a really cool look. But where can I buy it? It's not at any of the local stores. And how much should I be spending on it?
A.all the major suppliers of lampwork glass sell the milliefiore slices. Usually you can by them by the ounce in mixed types -- though Frantz sells individiual rods if you want just ONE particular pattern.
