Fashion Jewelry Milan
Q.Is it just me, or has anybody else started to notice that current fashion trends (i.e., Paris/Milan/you know the rest) are suddenly turning towards looks that are mildy gothic or pseudo-gothic? Yes, I admit, I sometimes read Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar (I know, I know, I'm in touch with my feminine side...). They're all starting to show these military-style dark-colored clothes that a few years ago would never have been seen anywhere on the runways. Tell me if this sounds familiar: heavy boots, army coats, black pants and shirts, steel jewelry, metallic fasteners... The only reason I'm mentioning this is that it's making it somewhat harder to distinguish the fashion trendoids from the original goths. That, and it begs the question: So are they copying us, or are we just suddenly becoming really hip???
A.I was watching opera the other day (stop laughing), and they had a segment on people who wear black all the time, and how to help them stop! the fashion *expert* suggests we try to begin with a *splash* of color...like that new APPLE GREEN, or EGGPLANT...then work our way to more colorful outfits. Granted the people in the audience wearing black were all trendoids anyway, but I found the show ammusing none the less. They even went into some chica's apartment to show that EVERYTHING in her closet was black. She had more clothes than god, and I wanted her boots. Other than that the show sucked.
