Diamond Necklace Design.
Q.I adore that necklace, but I would be afraid if I ever had something set like that, it would be considered "copy-catting" done to "look like Diana" and not because I sincerely just liked the design. ..and have you ever tried to find anything similar? I have (for the same reason - it looks SO good) Anything which is is anywhere near in design just does not exist as far as I have found.
A.The piece I saw was exactly the brooch/centerpiece of Diana's choker, but instead of the seven rows of small pearls, it was attached to a diamond necklace (I did not like the diamond necklace part.) I already have the Three Feather's brooch (wedding gift) & the flamingo (but small - an anniversary gift)/ I also have a cheap- to-the-point-of-tacky emerald cut green glass solitaire. While I'd love to get a full sized flamingo brooch, I'd trade it for a replica of her wedding day gift - a diamond cuff bracelet with a huge sapphire studded/pave closure. I'd kill for a copy of some of the ruby/diamond stuff she had from Van Cleef & Arpels. Maybe just the leaf duo brooch. - that necklace would be asking for way too much! (Rather like that incredible amethyst bib she had....I'm doing a 60's game in September, so I have to stock up...
