Q.What do they call the "current" diamond necklaces they have out - not just a solitaire type, but a diamond which is surrounded in a circle of 14 K gold or platinum - does anyone know? The necklace belonged to the ocean... wasn't it the "heart of the ocean"? Also she had her heart broken in this ocean when Jack was taken from her, so what is the value of a necklace which symbolises this?.
A.It was a unique diamond.(In the real world,it's probably based on the "French Blue",the diamond that the Hope Diamond was once part of). Somebody who created it decided to give it a name that mentioned the ocean,because it was blue.That it no way makes it "belong to" any ocean. It was a legend in its history among men...which should never have been ended because one secretive old woman who couldn't even bear to tell her husband her real name decided to throw it away for completely personal motives. I think you might mean bezel set - it would be a single diamond set not in 4 or 6 prongs, but in gold or platinum setting that surrounds the edge of the diamond (which would have to be round, or brilliant, cut).
