Q.This is definitely a fashion trend of the season but I just received an e mail from Neiman Marcus advertising personalized totes, tees and more.There are leather handbags, totes, cosmetic bags and bracelets. You choose your color combo and then the initial you want. This trend began with tee shirts but now it seems to be spreading to other items. Of course there are also the initial pendants. What is your opinion?
A.I assume you mean our own names/initials, in which case I would like to have a small pendant with my initials or just a "K". A dainty/ delicate ID bracelet would also be a nice piece of jewelry as well, I don't think I would care to have it on anything else, unless it was a "mantel decoration" given as a gift. Now, if you mean _NM_'s name or initials, no thanx to any of it! I received this email too and the only thing I was interested in was the diamond initial pendants. I thought they might be nice as gifts for my daughters. However, they only showed the design of one example letter . I would want to see what the design of the specific letters I was interested in look like. We bought the "diamond" initial pendant in a big scrolly "C" today and DD and I can share it, though I'll have to get my time in quickly before she leaves for school in August. I noticed lots of cute monogrammed things (initial only) today while shopping. Wristlets at Meier & Frank, wifebeaters and necklaces at Nordstrom.
