A.Associate Jewelers Inc. is a twenty year old wholesale jewelry service and manufacturing facility in Portland Oregon. We manufacutre around 10,000 items in our line, and we have a great many photo-cd's of images of special order and custom pieces we've built. We work with one of the largest diamond companys in the nation, offering diamonds at prices dramatically lower than elsewhere, being a wholesaler for twenty years gives us the edge.... I've been on AOL/Delphi/Compuserve/Internet for years, but I am now moving towards developement of a WWW/Mosaic jewelry site on internet highlighting sound diamond grading info, a huge listing of available stones at wholesale prices, a showcase of fine jewelry items we build (with prices) and even a form for asking questions of a top G.I.A. graduate gemologist (Independant appraisale company) for consumer questions. Last year I found myself writing a letter of protest to a large national retail jewelry company regarding their new 3.8 mark-up (380%) and decided that after twenty years of watching the markups rise and quality plummet it was time to create a helpful information site, complete with examples, images and even prices for specific grades and size diamonds... There's so much need for comparative data and information it seems logical to attempt to clear away the magic & rumor in favor of sound data and price tables...
