A.I'm glad to think that I did my bit today to build up this woman's self esteem. She was probably feeling really bad that her Burberry shopping bag was bigger than her diamond ring ... I like to think that standing in front of me, a bag lady, helped her put things into perspective. So I'm leaving the salon and waiting to pay while the woman in front of me pulls out her calendar to book manicure/pedicure/massage, etc. My face is red and covered with some kind of herbal goo, plus the area around my eyebrows is red from the waxing, and my hair has oil from the massage leaching into it ... plus of course, I'm dressed like a bum. And I noticed the woman in front of me is impeccably dressed, carrying a Burberry shopping bag and an elegant tote bag and is wearing the seriously HUGEST diamond ring I have ever seen in my life. The center stone was a massive pear shaped diamond that was even bigger than an 11 carat number I saw in the window of Cartier's a few years ago, and it had baguettes on either side of it that were probably a good carat and a half ...
