Child Birth Stone Jewelry.
Q.My wife just gave birth to our second child, a baby girl. I am trying to find a nice gift that is different from the typical flowers/gift basket thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A.it's not useful really, or handy, but a guy I knew and my cousin received new gold bands (just thin gold wedding bands - I would assume engraved with child's birthdate and/or name) from their spouses on the occasion of the birth of each of their respective children. I liked the symbolism - adding to the family and all...they just wear them alongside their wedding rings. That is very precious June and a great gift for the child someday! I am "asking" for something similar for Christmas - unfortuantely our finances were not in check when she was born. But of all the things I've heard of - I think that is the nicest! Massages come and go - beauty cream dries up, but a piece of jewelry like that can last generations!
