White beads won't work--we're doing a medieval-inspired piece, and I want it to look as right as possible. Does anybody here know where I can get some? A.You might try the indian crafts catalogs in the back of Boy's Life magazine. Its the one for Boy Scouts, should be available on news stands. A number of years ago there was at least one indian dance costuming catalog that had imported beads and might have seed pearls. Or you could look in the telephone book and call the local Scout Council office. Don't tell them its for SCA stuff. Just tell them a friend is working on an Indian costume and is looking for catalogs for beads. I was in the OA years ago, made Brotherhood rank and might have qualified for Vigil some day...
